Tawakkal.

Salam, good day. It seems very scary now, although we are asked not to worry regarding the outbreak of Influenza A H1N1 in our country. What we should do now is to follow the advice by the relevant authorities mainly The Ministry of Health on how to prevent the virus to spread. Prevention is better than cure!

Are we going to have our very own Times Square? I wish. I'm sure it will attract Bruneian to spend here rather than shopping across the boarder should it be completed. Also, it is very near to the airport. Location? +: Reduce the traffic at Gadong & no cash flowing across the boarder. -: Worsen the traffic at Berakas round about.

This is the problem faced by the residence nearby and road users at Jalan Subok. This Jalan Kianggeh (pic above) should be re-open for motorists by 17th June (see orange board) after six months of closure. But as at yesterday it is still being closed. The public (mainly frequent users) is yet to know what is actually the reason behind the closure. Anybody?

Two H1N1 cases in Brunei!

Salam, good day. Keep in mind, time running very fast. I still remember while I was attending religious talks, the ustaz has told that '...the furthest time to go is the one which gone by and the nearest time to come is the future...'. I hope you understand that. *I'm really bad translating* Meaning that, we shouldn't waste our time and also we should run by the time. Rejab (Islamic calendar) is approaching, followed by Syaaban and Ramadhan. Hey, wake up by now! With our own effort, Insya Allah we are able to achieve successful life in the near future:)

The handing over of the national flag to Brunei U14 Football Team held yesterday at the Brunei International Airport. The team was invited by The Ministry of Tourisms and Sports of Thailand. The entourage is consists of ten players and two officials. They will compete with nine other ASEAN countries which is divided into two groups. Brunei Darussalam is in group A with Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia and host nation Thailand.

Pg Adnan PSI Pg Hj Ismail (FFBD's Treasurer) handed over the Brunei Darussalam flag to Mohammad Haji Tunjang (team manager).

Congrats to HRH The Crown Prince.

DPMM FC really came to exist in 1994. During that time it was only came into existence as a high school team. This team during that time was the best in the college. Since then, all the best players in that school combined as a team and some of the players is still in the squad. The owner of the team is the Crown Prince of Brunei, Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah and used to play during the time the team is still very new. The Crown Prince is currently the Chairman of the Club (source http://www.bruneidpmmfc.com/).

Instead I went to attend my cousin funeral who passed away yesterday at 85 years old, Al-Fatihah*. While later today I have two wedding invitations to attend. Hey, where am I? I'm a bit lost. Only later this evening, I will help my self not to miss out to watch F-1 British GP:)

Champion!

Salam, good day. Weaheyyyyy! The atmosphere was very hot at the airport this afternoon on welcoming home Brunei DPMM FC after their Singapore League Cup triumph last evening. Also at the airport was the Permanent Secretary of The Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports and senior government officials. Factfile: The first foreign team to win silverware in Singapore football. The first debutant to win a silverware in Singapore football and maybe the first team to win a silverware without a full strength squad. Brunei DPMM FC vs SAF FC tonight! League Cup Final!

bd
Salam, good day. Big story coming up in these few days, mainly Brunei DPMM FC's Singapore League Cup final against SAF FC later this evening. *deep breath* I believe, the fans is in slight pressure. Although DPMM FC had beaten them twice in the previous matches, the final match atmosphere is so much difference. The match will be broadcast live on RTB2 and also live commentary on Harmoni 94.1. Also these few days, I could not attend events other than PSR 2009. But I wish take part in the Olympic Day Run this weekend at Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, 7.00am. Public are welcome and so you are:)

The national hero!

Two experienced players we hope to lift up the team,
Rosmin and Subhi

This is my friend Lia who is celebrating her 30++ birthday yesterday. She was also my wife's colleague for more than 10 years. Other than doing office commitment, she is also very generous in doing small businesses and own a boutique as well *i believe*. Happy birthday once again from us and may Allah bless be upon you. (Factfile: As far as I'm concerned and understand, she is single). Hehehe...

Rainshower.

Salam, good day. Alhamdulillah, for the last few days it was rainshower in Brunei. Though it is the best catalyst to overcome the hazy condition which we are facing early this month. But yesterday the rain was heavy in Bandar and some part of the road was flooded. The motorists are asked to step up their awareness while on the road. Also yesterday, the heavy rain caused the athletic event for PSR 2009 at the National Stadium being abandoned. Hour later, the event back to scheduled and I was very impressed to see our athlete performing very well. Although they are several national athlete who took part, but the new comers were able to pressurised them. Very good to see and very promising:)

It is very convenient here at the Indoor Stadium. I've been to many places and as muslim we should be proud of our country Brunei Darussalam. We can perform prayer comfortably everywhere.

The final we go!

Salam, good day. Last evening Brunei DPMM FC once again produced a superb perfomance to book their place in the Singapore League Cup after defeating Woodlands Wellington FC by 2-1. Ivan Jerkovic took a curling free kick to give the Bruneian team the lead in the 23rd minutes. Brunei DPMM FC double the lead in the 53rd minutes with Abdel Hamed glancing header. However Woodlands Wellington FC scored their consolation in the 73rd minutes through Mojtaba Tehranizadeh. Weaheeyyy...I can't wait to watch the final on the 19th of June and we will know the opponent after another semi-final match held later this evening between Home United FC and SAF FC:)
