No, its not 'Tiger's' year.

Salam, good day. The preparation for this upcoming National Day Celebration is on it's fifth gear now. The full dress rehearsal was held yesterday at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien. All the best to those who involve mainly in the march parade. Last year when the National Day Celebration was held at the National Stadium, it was very grand since it was the 25th anniversary. I expect this year will be a bit smaller in the size of the participants and the duration but hopefully the spirit of nationhood will be bigger. Allah bless Brunei Darussalam!

Establishment of Islamic medicine centre mooted
Syazwan Sadikin, The Brunei Times
THE Medical and Islamic Welfare Association of Brunei Darussalam, Darusysyifa' Warrafahah, is seeking to establish a centre for Islamic medicine in light of the growing demand for more professional Islamic medical practitioners in the Sultanate. According to the association's president, Dato Paduka Ahmad Bukhari PSRK Abu Hanifah, in the past three years, over 3,000 people have sought treatment from them.
"These facts and figures illustrate that the demand from the community for Islamic medical services is a true fact in Brunei," he said during the inaugural presentation of certificates to the association members at the BRIDEX convention centre in Jerudong yesterday.
His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik handed out the certificates to 162 members of association who completed the basic course on Islamic medicine.
Dato Ahmad Bukhari said that the centre would provide honest treatment in Islamic medicine, develop and create professional Islamic medical practitioners, conduct research and development and spread the truth about Islamic medicine.
"This centre will in turn become a great contribution under the guide of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in creating this country as a zikir nation," said Dato Ahmad Bukhari.
However, he added that this will only exist when there is support and assistance from fellow Muslims and the population as a whole, to realise the goal of the Islamic Medicine Centre and the agendas that it strives for.
Dato Ahmad Bukhari went on to say that the association has a variety of skills and knowledge courses such as in herbal medicine, traditional massages and other areas which fulfil the vision and mission of the association as a centre of alternative medicine, specifically Islamic medicine.
"Darusysyifa' Warrafahah promises to generate more local professional practitioners in a variety of areas in alternative medicine, with the intention to provide honest services to the community," he said.
He further explained that although completion of the basic course does not qualify a person to treat patients, graduates are also given the opportunity to further advance their level to become full practitioners.
Upon completion, they will receive an identification card to ensure the public that they are true Darusysyifa' Warrafahah practitioners, he said.
"This is to ensure that the public will not be deceived by imposters who will make patients more ill," said Dato Ahmad Bukhari.
The association's president said that while Darusysyifa' Warrafahah currently does not have any professional practitioners at hand, they vow to make efforts at meeting the demands of the public in providing treatment service by working closely with Malaysia's Islamic Medical and Welfare Association, Darussyifa.
"In fact, many people who suffer from unknown afflictions that normal medicine cannot cure would usually come to visit Darusysyifa' Warrafahah. Since the last eight professional practitioners have arrived, the cases have accumulated to 1,000," said Dato Ahmad Bukhari.
