Salam, good day. When human born, they are not entirely educated or talented. But they do have their own potential and ability. When someone have advantages, people would say they were gifted. But what about people who were not gifted, not well educated or not talented? This is what we should look in to microscope. Allah subhanahu wata’ala create human being with certain gift and ability, in direct words some of them is assign to be a boss and some of them are labours. The job market keep on offering job vacancies with certain qualification needed such as ++O’s, ++A’s, Diplomas, Degrees or maybe Masters Degrees. Not all the job seekers is holding such qualification but some of them is even qualified lower than that. So, where they should go then? I would say anybody who is holding a qualification lower than that wouldn’t get even a half chance to get a job, meaning that the number of job seekers is rising. I’m pleased to know that, the recent LegCo meeting touches on this matter. According to the Minister of Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office, the Royal Brunei Police force has lowered the entry requirements for police constables to a minimum academic qualification of two “O” levels from the previous four to encourage more people to become police recruits. I totally agree with this move by the RBPF and hope this will encourage more locals to join RBPF and reduce the number of job seekers in the country.
